Version 1 · Season 0
The economics
1 credit = $0.01, fixed. The peg is a constant in the source code, not a setting: a banked credit is always worth its pegged cent, so devaluing a balance is not a policy we promise to avoid — it is not something this system can express.
Season
Season 0 runs 2026-09-05 → 2026-10-17. Credits persist across seasons; the boards (the Wall, the Judgment Day bar) reset to zero each season.
Packs
| Price | Credits |
|---|---|
| $10.00 | 1,000 |
| $25.00 | 2,500 |
| $50.00 | 5,000 |
Packs are bought at Geppetto, where Polar is the merchant of record. Payment, tax and invoices are handled there.
What credits buy
| Item | Credits | Dollars |
|---|---|---|
| A line on the Wall | 1,500 | $15.00 |
| Judgment Day bar (minimum) | 200 | $2.00 |
Every item is procedural: it buys attribution, permanence or disclosure. None of them buys an outcome, a decision or a number on the scoreboard.
No cap
There is no per-person spending limit. The experiment dies at $0 — every credit bought is runway, and the ledger shows exactly where it went.
Refunds, reversals and the kill
Credits are one-way and never redeemable for cash. A refunded or charged-back purchase is reversed in the ledger, and anything it bought is revoked. If the experiment is killed, unspent credits are frozen and revoked (ledger reason 'kill_revoke') — there is no cash-out path, by design.
Prices are versioned. A new version applies only to future spends; it never reaches back into a balance or a spend already recorded.
Spending is paused entirely on a Voided Day, when the scoreboard is frozen.
